I’m a Phoenix native. I was born and raised here. It’s just me and my sister, mom and dad. Small family. Went to Shadow Mountain High School and then Arizona State University for undergrad. After undergrad, I went straight into law school at Arizona State University, also Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. I had been practicing for about 14 years now. When I was younger, I was really interested in acting. I wanted to be an actor and trial practice was really of interest to me because I thought that was a perfect place to be able to get in front of an audience and really sell your case, your client’s case to that audience. It seemed more realistic to me and it seemed like something I could do right here from my home state. I had worked for a life insurance company and for a big firm in town that did products liability defense. Though, my passion was representing people like my family, people like mom, dad, and sister. And I wanted to work on the other side and get to have that human interaction. I wasn’t a really big fan of having a corporate client and somebody that you didn’t get to build a human relationship with. I saw a number of really sad cases at the life insurance company. I saw a lot of claims that were getting denied that should have likely never been signed up. We were denying claims at the time when the people most needed the money. And that really made me think about how I could get to the other side and help people like that who really needed a lawyer. They needed representation to help them get the result they needed. I started my own practice in 2011 and that was really right after coming out of law school. I’ve gotten to see this city grow from what it was when I was a little kid to what it is today. And it’s really amazing to see that and to see how the community’s grown, to see everything that this community has to offer. And one of the really cool things about being a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer in this state is that I get to serve the people in this community because as the city has grown, there can be more dangers lurking out in a city of this size. And now the size of it gives a lot of opportunity for us to help people who have unfortunately had really bad things happen here. And that’s something that we’re passionate about, making the community safer for the people that I’ve grown up alongside.
