Video Summary

I’ve been asked if Arizona is a no-fault state and a lot of times what people are referring to is, is there no-fault insurance coverage required on motor vehicles in Arizona? And the short answer is no. We have medical payments coverage that can be purchased as an option when you’re buying insurance coverage, but it’s not required. There are other states that have personal injury protection coverage where that is required. Our state’s a little bit different and we see it probably in about 30 to 40% of the cases, our clients have that insurance coverage. And what that means is, even if it’s a one vehicle collision, one of our clients veered off the road, there wasn’t another at fault party to make a claim against, they could still make a claim through their own insurance company under medical payments coverage, that’s no fault coverage, and it could be used to insulate them and pay some of their medical expenses arising out of that incident.
