When is the right time to hire a personal injury lawyer to represent you when you’ve been injured? The answer to that question is as soon as possible after an incident occurs. The reason why is because we want our firm to stand in the way to really play in a middleman capacity between our clients and whoever is on the other side. That opponent could be an insurance company or a multi-billion dollar corporation. We don’t typically want our clients to be interacting with the folks on the other side. That creates a risk of giving a statement under oath or giving a recorded statement. And those types of interaction with the other side can come back to haunt our clients in their cases. And that’s why I say from the very beginning, if there’s representation and we can draw a line or create a boundary between our clients and the other side, that allows us to gather crucial evidence at the beginning of a case that can be used to not only demonstrate damages, but prove liability, win the case, and get maximum compensation under the circumstances.
